China (Zhejiang)-Europe Life Sciences Innovation Fair (ZELSIF), organized by the Health Commission of Zhejiang Province (HCZJ), will be held in Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City in 2023. The event is designed as not only a life sciences innovation competition, but also a platform for technological innovation, project incubation, international research collaboration, industrial implementation, investment and fundraising. Investment companies and financial institutions will be invited to sit on the assessment panel of the event, and winners will get opportunities for attracting investors and local partners. European life sciences enterprises or R&D projects with plans to explore the Chinese market are all welcomed.

In August 2020, the Health Commission of Zhejiang Province,People's Government of Yuhang District (Hangzhou), and KU Leuven (Belgium)jointly established the China Centre of Leuven Health Technology Centre inHangzhou Future Sci-Tech City, the first-ever official collaboration platformbetween Zhejiang Province and Belgium in the field of life and healthtechnology innovation. In September 2021, the First China (Zhejiang)-BelgiumLife Sciences Innovation Forum was held by HCZJ in Hangzhou. In June 2022, with the support from Embassy of China in Belgium, Department of Foreign Affairs of Zhejiang Province and other advisory boards, the Health Commission of Zhejiang Province initiated 2022 China (Zhejiang)-Europe Life Sciences Innovation Fair (ZELSIF). To date, a number of collaborative projects are going on smoothly between enterprises, hospitals and universities of the two sides.
