The finalists will have the opportunity to show their technology/products at the Zhejiang International Medical Equipment Exhibition (the 3rd largest in China, with more than 35,000 professional visitors) – a perfect opportunity to gain the trust of local professionals, hospitals, and distributors through official recommendation, and build up popularity.

Benefits and Support

1. Fund-raising Support

Quality projects will be offered one-to-one matchmaking meetings with top investors from both China and abroad;

Medals will be awarded to participants and projects winning the final;

Awarded projects may have the opportunity to sign letters of intent for investment with interested investors;

Quality projects will be offered credit support from partner banks of ZELSIF.

2. Industrialization Support

On a case-by-case basis, awarded projects may be matched with the following supporting policies if they set up a business unit or branch office in Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City:

guide fund by transferable equity investment of up to 20 million Chinese yuan;R&D subsidy of up to 10 million Chinese yuan;

business space rental subsidy of up to 1.5 million Chinese yuan;

angel investor fund of up to 10 million Chinese yuan;

a risk pooling start-up loan of up to 5 million Chinese yuan;

subsidy for start-up risk insurance.

3. R&D Support

Awarded projects of incubation phase will be entitled to the supportive services from the China (Zhejiang) Health Science and Technology Research & Translation Platform, including product selection, matchmaking, transaction, translation, and incubation. They also will be offered clinical R&D supports from the Platform, including：

fast track for trials;

access to medical expertise network and other available resources.

4. Exhibition and Promotion

Awarded projects will be short-listed for a top 3 medical equipment exhibition in China -Zhejiang International Medical Exhibition- hosted by the Health Commission of Zhejiang Province, and enjoy a booth discount valid for the next three years. Outstanding products (of the medical device category) can be preferentially recommended for a priority release in the medical innovation section of the official website for government procurement (www.zcygov.cn) hosted by the Department of Finance of Zhejiang Province; and those conforming with the government procurement specifications of the Exhibition will be directly qualified for online transactions.

5. IP Protection Support

IP protection services will be provided for ZELSIF applicants by China (Zhejiang) Intellectual Property Protection Centre and China (Hangzhou) Intellectual Property Protection Centre.
